by | May 6, 2025

Have you been feeling stressed or dealing with muscle aches? Breckels Massage Therapy in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, might be the place you’re looking for. For over 30 years, they’ve been helping people in the Detroit area relax and feel better.

What Breckels Massage Therapy Offers

Breckels provides different types of massage to fit what you need. Whether you want to relax or need help with a specific problem, they can create a massage just for you. Here are some of the types of massages they offer:

  • Swedish Massage: This is a classic massage that uses long strokes and kneading to help you relax. The pressure can be adjusted to be as light or as deep as you like.

  • Deep Tissue Massage: This massage is similar to Swedish but focuses on the deeper layers of your muscles and tissues. It can help release tension and relieve pain.

  • Prenatal Massage: This massage is designed for pregnant women and can help with water retention, anxiety, and pain. They even have a special pillow that allows you to lie on your stomach comfortably.

  • Couples Massage: You and a partner can enjoy massages together in the same room or separate rooms.

  • Hot Stone Therapy: Heated stones are used to massage your body, providing a very relaxing experience.

  • Lymphatic Drainage: This gentle massage helps reduce swelling by moving lymph fluid in your body.

  • Geriatric Massage: This massage is tailored to the needs of older adults, using gentle techniques to improve circulation and relieve pain.

More Than Just Massage

Breckels also offers other types of therapy to address specific needs:

  • Neuromuscular Therapy: This therapy focuses on trigger points to relieve pain in specific areas of your body.

  • Cupping Therapy: Cups are used to create suction on your skin, which can help release tension and loosen muscles. Megan and Jane are the therapists who offer this style.

  • Reiki: Carly and Noelle are the therapists who offer this modality.

If you can’t make it to their office, Breckels can even come to you for an on-site massage within a 15-minute radius of their office for an additional fee. They can bring a massage table or chair to your home or business. They also have a massage chair available in their office if you prefer to be in a seated position.
