by | May 9, 2025

Grosse Pointe Village is ready to make 2025 its most community-focused year yet, with a packed schedule of events designed to bring residents together through creativity, music, shopping, and celebration. From family traditions to new highlights, this year’s calendar blends beloved classics with innovative ways to connect, support local businesses, and give back.

Kicking off in May and continuing through December, the 2025 schedule includes monthly gatherings like Third Thursday Shop Crawls, Music on the Plaza, and festive seasonal traditions. With a mix of free and ticketed experiences, there’s something for every neighbor to enjoy.

🎨 Spring & Summer Kickoff

The season starts in May with “Paint The Village”, a colorful public art celebration that invites local creativity to take center stage. May 15 brings the first Charity Partner Night supporting The Family Center, followed by Main-Opoly on May 29—a playful, ticketed fundraiser full of community spirit.

June marks the return of Music on the Plaza, featuring the Grosse Pointe North and South Jazz Bands (June 12), BandWagon (June 19), and a special Cocktail Infusion Kit Shop Crawl. WeGP’s Pride Celebration fills the Village with joy on June 21.

July keeps the momentum going with performances by Detroit Social Club Blues Band, M1 Jazz Collective, and Mainstream Drive. The month closes with the annual Sidewalk Sale-ebration weekend (July 26–27).

🌼 Fall Into Community Fun

August hosts another Charity Partner Night (Aug. 21), leading into September’s Art Takeover Project and the Flower Crawl (Sept. 18). Families won’t want to miss Mini Masters mini-golf fun on Sept. 20.

October features Buy Nearby Weekend (Oct. 3–5), supporting small businesses, and ends with the cherished Trick or Treat in The Village on Halloween.

🎄 Holiday Magic in The Village

The holiday season begins in earnest with a Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 21 and the Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade on Nov. 28. Santa’s Workshop will delight children on three Saturdays in December (6, 13, 20), while Small Business Saturday (Nov. 29) encourages festive local shopping.

With pop-up events, retail specials, and ongoing community initiatives, Grosse Pointe Village’s 2025 event calendar truly offers something every month to look forward to.
